Our first time at Mrs Mac's and it won't be our last! A little diner in a small strip mall in Vero, you wouldn't know it was the most unique place for breakfast or lunch ever! So much to see inside, our waitress 'Stingray' was busy but chatty and offered suggestions off the extensive menu sandwiched between two old license plates! A magician was working his way around tables for kids and other patrons too. Go early, it fills up quickly and right after we arrived at 8:30 on a Saturday morning they started taking names for the wait-list. It's a gotta see it to believe it experience I can't recommend enough. We'll definitely be back!!
4.6 stars? That’s INSANE. This place needs to be 5 STARS all the way! I can’t express how much I love this place. Everything about it. Great food, great waitstaff, and great ambience. The eggs were cooked perfectly over medium. The home fries and the bacon were also perfect. The chicken fried steak was fork tender. And the biscuits…? They should win an award for being the best biscuits in the world. Seriously
Fun place, vintage look of old gas station/garage. Menus, servers all match the memorabilia of bygone days. Even the napkins are old mechanics rags lol. Meat loaf was served even at breakfast. Loved it. Nice portion with homemade green beans and I opted for the French fries instead of mashed potatoes. The gravy was delicious too. Wife had French toast only so nothing bad to say about that. With coffee both meals about $20 only.
Very nice themed breakfast spot here in Vero Beach! Love how every the place is decorated with car memorabilia such as license plates and old school business plaques. The menu was inside two licensed plates which was very nice touch! I had the Dixie Highway which consisted of two medium eggs, home fries, and smoked ham with some orange juice. My father had the Mechanic’s Favorite. His consistent of scrambled eggs, home fries, two sausage links and some biscuits. Service was great, can’t complain.
I'm from out of town and this place came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. All the waitresses names are "car" names. Pur waitress was, Charger. Food was great. Whole place is car themed from napkins to wall decor to menu being. License plates to waitresses wearing overalls. Great experience, food and service
Stopped into this great restaurant for breakfast while on a motorcycle ride.WOW was I impressed. Very unique place with a gas station and automobile theme. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. All the waitresses were very friendly and had awesome personalities. I'll definately stop on here again and I highly recommend it.
First time there. Very good. Cute themed. Good service. Good food. Large helpings. We were in Vero visiting McKee BG. When we searched fir close restaurants we were attracted be the name because we'd been to Mrs. Mac's in Key Largo many times. The staff told us this originated from that one, but isn't linked anymore. Recommend.
I had a awesome time reading my Bible and enjoying breakfast at Mrs. Mac’s Filling Station! The food was sensational in the service as well. This is establishment loves God can tell not just by their decor but in the caring way they treat you. God bless them! (Numbers 6:24-26)
Been coming here for 10+ years and is an amazing hidden local spot. Never disappoints and the Friday fish & chips is unbeatable They even poked holes in the top so it wouldn’t be soggy on my way home. That’s as good as it gets in my opinion ❤️
The food was great as was our server. She was right about the fries being delicious. My fiancees mini burgers were awesome and I really loved my Hot rod cruiser aka Philly cheese steak. I didn't get the mushrooms or peppers, but man did the pepperoni really add an awesomeness to the delicious steak and cheese, wonderfully soft but lightly toasted bun, and those onions were flavorful and cooked just right. Every bite was great. Definitely would get it again.
